W26 · The Global Disclosure Project · goal €1,000,000

Where the money goes.

All figures are net of the cost of the campaign and the rewards.

W26 is a modular, scalable project. The four modules are built in order, as the funds come in from the campaign: every euro raised has a precise destination, and the next module starts when the previous one is funded.

The goal is €1,000,000. If the campaign goes beyond the goal, the four modules grow in the same proportions.

Of every 100 euros raised

11%share

The archives of ufology sit with individuals and associations, and they are being lost. We secure them, digitise them and make them public.

What we do

  • Establishment of the W26 Foundation, which receives the project's assets and keeps them.
  • A census of private and association collections worldwide, starting with Roberto Pinotti's archive and those of the Custodians.
  • Acquisition or custody agreements with the owners, transport and safekeeping.
  • Professional scanning of documents, photographs, film and long-unobtainable books, with metadata and a catalogue.
  • Copies on servers on several continents, free public access on w26.it.

Where the money goes

  • Establishment of the Foundation€20,000
  • Census, agreements and transfer of the collections€12,000
  • Scanning stations and staff€45,000
  • Metadata and cataloguing€12,000

59%share
€590,000of €1,000,000
from €410,000starts

Two Mother Centres with laboratories, observatories and conference halls, and a kit of instruments for the national task forces of every country. The largest module: it receives everything left after the first three.

What we do

  • Feasibility study and design of the two Mother Centres.
  • Finding the two sites and refurbishing them: laboratories, observatories, conference halls.
  • Kits of instruments and materials for the national task forces, in every country of the network, coordinated by the Mother Centres.
  • First fitting-out of observatory and laboratory.

  • Finding and refurbishing the two Mother Centres€507,500
  • Kits for the national task forces€80,000

Result

The two Mother Centres found and refurbished, the national task forces equipped. The fitting-out of laboratories and observatories grows with funds beyond the goal and with partners.

If the campaign stops earlier

  • At €110,000: Module 01 complete, the archives safe and public.
  • At €270,000: Modules 01 and 02, archives and database.
  • At €410,000: Modules 01, 02 and 03, archives, database and timeline.
  • At €1,000,000: all four modules to the extent described.
  • Whatever the total, every promised reward is delivered.

Accountability

The funds are bound to the stated purpose: they are collected by the W26 Committee, a non-profit body under Italian law. Every three months the Committee publishes on w26.it the state of each module and the use of the funds.
